About Us
Rooted in British Columbia ~ Setting Precedent & Local Innovation
SideBar® has been created by us, two Canadian women based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We first met in the world of law, and years later reconnected over drinks and conversation.
We were both searching our local market for a premium and sophisticated drink which we could enjoy as part of a balanced West Coast lifestyle, and as a delicious alternative to an alcoholic cocktail.
We also wanted something non-carbonated and not too sweet. We saw family, friends and clients looking for the same thing.
So when we couldn’t find a ready made drink with the style, depth and layers which we wanted, we decided to create it ourselves and brought SideBar® to life.
Meet Tania
Tania’s journey from banking lawyer to wine professional to non-alc entrepreneur is part of the SideBar story. An enthusiastic “thinker and drinker,” and firm believer in things analogue, Tania has always loved to connect and talk with a delicious sip in hand (spirited or not) wherever she is.
While she’s been lucky enough to work, live and taste her way through Canada, England, Australia (and beyond), Tania is an “Island Girl” at heart—happiest here on British Columbia’s beautiful West Coast, exploring secret coves, island orchards and vineyards, and peaceful coastal rainforest trails.

Meet Val
From product manager in a global food company, to a few decades in corporate law, Val is returning full circle to creating great products for people to enjoy.
When not negotiating deals or advising boards of directors, Val’s happy place is in the mountains - hiking through the forests, playing in the snow. And after a day on the slopes, there is nothing better than enjoying the company of friends and family. That’s where SideBar® was born. Created in her kitchen, and now brought to you.
